Education Media Publisher Evaluator E-learning (AEL) bought Valuation Expo And evaluation buzz From Joan Trice, who created the two entities nearly 20 years ago.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Announcing the purchase on Wednesday, AEL said that both the valuation conference Valuation Expo and its employee Valuation Buzz, a newsletter for valuation professionals, will remain in place and there are no plans to make any changes to either entity.
AEL is a subsidiary of storyboard emp, whose CEO Jim McLeod negotiated the purchase as well as AEL executives Hal Humphreys and Brian Reynolds. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“I have reached the point where I need to step back, so I have chosen my successor,” Trice said in a statement. AEL’s education products, communication skills and conference management skills will “raise the bar” for both the conference and newsletter, he added.
Trice, President of collateral exposure network (CRN) – a non-profit group that focuses on valuation, collateral risk and regulations – will continue to hold its annual meeting in conjunction with Val Expo, which it started in 2003. The expo is scheduled for August 7-9 at the Miraj Hotel. in Las Vegas, Nevada.
AEL will continue to partner with the National Association of Appraisers (NAA) as co-hosts of two annual appraisal conferences – the ACTS conference held in Sacramento, California in April 2023 and the Appraisal Summit conference scheduled for September 2023.
Maryland-headquartered Appraisal Buzz sends out a twice-weekly newsletter that includes articles and presentations from industry leaders, according to its website. LinkedIn Company size should be between 11 to 50 employees.
AEL, founded in 2013 and headquartered in Tennessee, provides online training for real estate appraisers that helps them “learn new skills, build on their experience,” according to the website. AEL said more than 2,770 people have enrolled in its learning programmes.
“We are committed to creating practical business value in the appraisal industry’s continuing education model, and we are very excited to grow our presence in the industry with the Appraisal Buzz newsletter and podcast,” said Humphries, AEL’s Chief Operating Officer.
