A note to you crappy real estate agents out there

Have you looked into realtors? Good!
I am not accusing all agents of being shoddy, but there are some of them who are giving a bad name to the rest!

In the current real estate climate where vacant homes line our neighborhoods, a bunch of unscrupulous real estate agents control our futures. These are agents who do a half-hearted job of protecting the interests of their clients.

If you represent a vacant property, it is your job to not only sell that property, but do your best to manage and protect it from robbers and other miscreants.

Make an example of this man!

3429966720 cdb9fe47e2A few months back an elderly lady from my neighborhood had to move out of her home to go to Dharamshala and unfortunately her family lives outside the country. The family put their trust in a real estate agent who was supposed to sell the house and keep an eye on it. Weeks later, as door flyers and other junk gathered in front of the house, I spotted an agent around the property. I went over to him to talk about the junk and told him that he or someone else from his firm needed to visit the property on a more regular basis to keep all the junk away from the door/stoop.

This jerk told me that this was not part of his job description.

I argued with her briefly, trying to explain that part of her duty in this type of situation was to make sure the house was safe, and that meant making sure people knew it was being looked after. is, but he could care less. I’m not sure if the person I spoke to was an actual agent representing the client, or someone at the property on his behalf, but either way, he was 100% wrong, and is hurting his client. Was.

According to the National Association of Realtors:

REALTORS® who are employed to maintain or manage a client’s property shall exercise due diligence and make reasonable efforts to protect it against reasonably foreseeable contingencies and losses. (adopted 1/95)

This man gives all real estate agents a bad name. Not only does he perform poorly on his managing broker and brokerage firm, but he is one of the reasons people equate real estate agents with used car salesmen and politicians.

Therefore . , , If you want the rest of the agents (the good guys) to get your reputation back, put the kibosh on this type of attitude and teach your fellow agents what their duty is.
